[BETA] ".projekt" - meditative puzzle about silhouettes (to be released on Match 13)
I always was excited by geometry lessons at school and in university. But not all people were as excited as I was. So I created a game called .projekt to share my passion for spatial awareness with others.
What’s a point of the game you ask? It’s simple, you need to build a 3D shape to match all given silhouettes. In contrast to geometry lessons it’s supposed to be fun
The most similar game to .projekt I can name is award winning Shadowmatic. In Shadowmatic you need to rotate a shape to get particular shadow. In .projekt you need to build that shape by your own.

COCAPULT - Pelt coconuts at sea-life from a bendy palm tree.
Sailing across the glittering expanse, your ship is dragged to the depths by a writhing mass of tentacles.
You paddle to shore and surrounded by the local inhabitants, a single palm tree heavy with coconuts sways in the wind.</span>
COCAPULT is an arcade platformer in which you pelt a relentless tide of jellyfish and other wildlife with coconuts.
Plenty of Fish in the Sea: A variety of different enemy types from air and sea to tackle!
Gifts from the deep: Drag floating crates back to shore and unleash coconut powerups!
Every Coconut Counts: Bouncing coconuts off multiple enemies will make your ammo go further and bag you more points!
I've currently been working on this project for just over a week and have been making some solid progress so far! My aim is to get it submitted to Apple by the end of April and make this a significantly quicker turnaround in comparison to my previous project, Corporate Salmon.
Here's what I've achieved so far:
- Basic gameplay implemented (Seamless movement methods + Catapult function)
- Difficulty curve constructed
- Tutorial/Story Intro implemented
- Mobile user interface implemented
- 3 powerups + crate dragging
- Enemy hit multiplier

A lot of the above systems were created in my last project, Corporate Salmon so should make dealing with them in this project a lot easier!

Skills are upgradable and give buffs to the fighter for some duration :

Stages are from the ground into the outer space, where you can find your fellows. In some universes the homeland already has been destroyed and just find the vacant outer space and ghosts :
Homeland, Burning Skyscraper, Stormy Mountains, Ridge of the snowy higher mountain, Calm Stratospheric sky, Dawnlike Mesospheric sky, Earth lit Thermosphere, Exosphere, Low Earth Orbit, Geostationary Orbit, and so on...
- Weapons for fellows
The fellows in stages can equip weapons and fight with you :
Handgun, Rifle, Anti material Rifle, Helicopter, Mini gun, Jet Fighter, Jet Bomber, High Altitude Airship, Rail gun, and so on.

You can upgrade the fighter with earnings in play to unlock new skills, and also can purchase avatars of the fighter :

About the Game:
Alleys is an adventure experience in which the player explores a theme park world full of quaint alleys that would fit perfectly in small towns in the English countryside. The gameplay is simple, with fewer of the complicated elements often found in puzzle games. All the player needs to do is to search for passageways, gather resources, and get immersed in the exquisite graphics and noir atmosphere. The player is free to choose where to go and can solve puzzles in any order to escape.
Background Story of Game:
Alleys is a large-scale escape room hosted by a theme park, and the player is a tourist who has decided to take part in the escape experience. The player wanders through a fictional old English-style town, collects resources, solves puzzles, and overcomes obstacles to gradually discover the backstory woven throughout the alleys. In the end, the player finds the exit gate and escapes.
Main Features:
1. Alleys Exploration
The players must find the way through complicated alleys, buildings, and sewers.
2. Check in to Proceed
Accumulate points by activating the check-in stations found in new locations. Certain areas require a specific number of points to enter.
3. Freely Choose Your Route
Alleys is a non-linear adventure puzzle game with no predetermined route. The player is free to explore and can escape the game as long as the conditions required to open the town exit gate are fulfilled.
4. Collect Resources
Player decides how to use the keys and other resources collected in the game. The decisions the player makes will affect the difficulty of the game.
5. Solve Riddle on Tool Cards
Every Tool Card is its own little riddle. Figure out the meaning of the illustration to find out what the card can be used for.
6. Simple Controls
No need for virtual controllers—just swipe and tap to easily move around and interact with items.
Development Progress:
The game is near completion and currently in beta-testing and optimization stage. The estimated release date is within 1 to 2 months.
About the Developer:
Alleys is a solo project developed by Shi-Chi Shen. It is also his debut creation. Currently based in Taipei, Shen used to run a design workshop, providing website and graphic design services for companies and other clients. He later switched career paths and became an indie game developer, spurred on by his passion for game development.
To create Alleys, Shen tried his hand at programming and learned to use 3D software. He even composed the sound effects! After a year and a half of development time, Alleys is now in the beta and promotional stage.
