Hello everyone, I'm new here as an registered user but already non-register user since I started to develop (5 months ago)...
First of all, sorry for my bad english...
I tried a huge different way to ear money with my app:
After few months just trying to get my app discover I think it's finally "discovered" on playstor. With 1k/day organic downloads and on top 100 in 7 countries in my app categorie (Trivia) and growing up every day. (I know you guys expert developers can laught about my numbers but that's big for me, as a single and young developer).
Anyway,here we go: 1 month ago, when i had 200 downloads/day my app was displaying ads with admob and I was earning 1$/day max... so, I decided to take off the ads and make a 100% free game, no ads, no app purchase, 100% free. This was my best idea ever, users are loving it and sharing a lot, now i'm with 1k/day downloads with a 100% free game with an exponential grow!
So, now you're probably asking now "How do you earn money from your app? Are you idiot?". No, with 1k/day downloads on google play, I put exactly same app on Apple Store put paid, for 1.99$... these 1000 free google play users turned into 20-30 paid users/day on Apple. That's awesome, with 25 users average paying 1.4$ for me (apple take 0.60) i'm earning 35$/day and it's still getting bigger.
It's still 100% free on playstore, but when it reach 10k/daily downloads i'll put some ad, but now, there's no reason to display ads for a small users number while it's still not famous...
What do you guys think about this strategy? Thanks!
